SHANGHAI, Aug. 29 (SMM) – Aluminum consumption is hit by environmental protection checks in Zhejiang, SMM finds.

Aluminum Price Rise Cycle Just Begins

SMM learned at least 7 small and medium aluminum extrusion producers in Zhejiang have shut down.

It is rare for aluminum plate and strip producers to halt production completely. Instead, most aluminum plate and strip producers simply close melting & casting workshops and keep cold-rolling lines still in operation. 

However, many decorative spray coating plate producers have closed, which hurt demand for aluminum plate and strip.
